PhD in Computer Science

Edinburgh Napier University offers fully funded 3-year PhD studentships covering full UK or international tuition fees and a living allowance at the RCUK rate (£21,383 per annum). The School of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment promotes interdisciplinary research and community engagement. Projects focus on innovative topics in Computer Science, with a strong emphasis on practical applications in society. The appointments are expected to start on 1 October 2026 and students will need to spend at least 36 hours weekly on their research at the Merchiston Campus in Edinburgh.
