Fees and Funding

There is no application fee for EPFL PhD programs. Most PhD candidates are employed and paid as doctoral assistants and therefore do not pay standard tuition. A doctoral tax of CHF 1500 is charged at the completion of studies. Recent changes to tuition for Bachelor's and Master's students do not generally apply to PhD students employed as doctoral assistants.
