Registration fee (one-time) for international doctoral students holding a foreign Master's degree: CHF 150 (payable with application). Doctoral examination fee invoiced after registration: CHF 1,500. Subsidized tuition fees are CHF 730 per semester; from autumn 2025 tuition for foreign students will be CHF 2,190 per semester. Most doctoral students are employed as scientific assistants and receive a salary, meaning many do not pay tuition fees.
