PhD in History

Research associate (PhD position) at the Faculty of Humanities, Asia-Africa-Studies, Islamic Studies, University of Hamburg. Focus on the history, economy and law of the early Islamic Empire and comparative empire/transcultural studies. Position is part-time (50% of standard work hours per week) and fixed-term: start as soon as possible, fixed until 31.12.2027. Salary level: EGR. 13 TV-L. Duties include academic services in the research field and the named project, independent research, pursuit of doctoral studies, active participation and engagement in professorship activities, coordinating websites, lecture series, workshops, research colloquia and further activities.
