- The program draws on faculty expertise from multiple departments, including Environmental Science and Policy, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Sociology, Public Policy, Engineering, and Education, providing a broad and interdisciplinary educational experience.
- Students must complete courses in natural sciences, policy and social science, research methods, and transdisciplinarity/professionalization. At least one course must be taken from each of these categories.
- The program requires a total of 72 credits, which includes core courses, electives, seminars, and dissertation research.
- While an advanced degree (e.g., MA, MS, veterinary, or law) in a relevant field is advantageous, applicants with only a bachelor’s degree may be considered if they have exceptional academic and research accomplishments.
