PhD in Translational Cardiovascular Research

Doctoral (PhD) student position in molecular epidemiology with focus on cardiovascular diseases./nThis project aims at the definition of risk profile for atherosclerosis, and atherosclerosis related cardiovascular diseases. The project is highly interdisciplinary at the forefront of molecular epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases. We use multi-omics platforms in large and well established cardiovascular epidemiological materials with the final aim of identifying clinical and molecular characteristics that predispose individuals to suffer from cardiovascular diseases./nStudies are performed at Karolinska Institutet, Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, Solna, in collaboration with national and international research groups. The PhD candidate will interact and discuss the different aspects of the project with statisticians, bioinformatics, epidemiologists, molecular biologists, and clinical cardiovascular researchers./nThe doctoral student will be employed on a doctoral studentship and receive a contractual salary.
