PhD in (Bio)Chemical Engineering

PhD position on localized delivery of beneficial microbiomes to promote oral biofilm health. The project combines microbiology and (bio)chemical engineering approaches and will exploit electrospinning, biofilm reactor setups, and systems biology tools. Supervision is by Prof Kristel Bernaerts, Prof Wim Teughels and Prof Christian Clasen. The research includes in silico microbiome design, formulation by electrospinning, and in vitro validation in a biofilm bioreactor system. Location: KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium.
