PhD in Business

The Operations Management Research Group of KU Leuven (Belgium) offers a full-time PhD position in Operations Management on the topic: Data-driven methods for integrating human preferences and fairness considerations into scheduling processes (e.g., surgery, patient or staff scheduling). The research will be conducted under the supervision of Prof. Laura Maria Poreschack at the Research Centre for Operations Management located on the campus Brussels and Leuven. The research should lead to a PhD-degree within 4 years. The contract is offered initially for 1 year with an extension up to 4 years after a positive evaluation. Tentative starting date is 15 September 2026.
