This position is in the Nano(bio)chemistry on Surfaces team of the Division of Molecular Imaging and Photonics of the Department of Chemistry at KU Leuven, Leuven, Belgium./nThe project targets alternative sustainable local synthesis routes for graphite as an important electrode material and integrates renewable energy storage for the decarbonization of the chemical industry./nThe PhD focuses on advanced characterization of synthetic graphite material for energy storage applications, with emphasis on innovative surface functionalization and (sub)molecular resolution visualisation as central characterization methodology./nThis is part of a multipartner project addressing sustainable energy transition and energy storage technologies.
