The KU Leuven Research Unit of International and European Law, which is a Department of the Faculty of Law and Criminology, is a globally oriented research group, which currently consists of four professors and more than twenty junior researchers./nThe Institute of International Law is recruiting a doctoral researcher to prepare a PhD thesis within the context of a project funded by the Research Foundation—Flanders (FWO) entitled ‘Lex Climatis: The Translation of Climate Science Research for International Adjudication’ (G055626N)./nBroadly speaking, the project concerns the global climate change emergency and the potential—and limitations—for international courts./nThe doctoral researcher will also support the Institute in a limited number of teaching-related tasks, including in particular: assisting with activities at the Institute for International Law; contributing to the grading of examinations for relevant courses; and supervising a limited group of master’s thesis students./nThe Institute also provides teaching at our Brussels and Kortrijk campuses.
