Fees and Funding

PhD positions are fully funded; PhD students employed receive salaries set roughly by SNSF / ETH scales (examples provided for years 1-4). Minimal tuition-related costs include University of Zurich tuition CHF 150 per semester (approx CHF 1,200 total for 4 years), compulsory semester fees CHF 37 per semester, one-time global fee CHF 1,500 charged at end of studies, and registration/application fees (ETH CHF 150; UZH CHF 100).
