PhD in Hydrology

The Urban Water Engineering research group at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural resources engineering at Luleå University of Technology seeks a driven and committed PhD student with a focus on the effects of climate change and different adaptation measures on urban streams./nThis research project will consist of (1) field measurements in urban streams in Umeå, Sweden where climate adaptation measures are planned, and (2) hydrological/hydraulic modelling of urban streams and adaptation measures for current conditions and future climate scenarios./nThe project is carried out in cooperation with public authorities in Umeå municipality./nPlacement: Luleå. Starting: Spring 2026./nEmployment as a PhD student is limited to 4 years, teaching and other department duties may be added to that time with max 20%.
