PhD in Medical science within surgical research

Lund University, Department of Clinical Sciences, Malmö advertises a PhD position within the research group for Surgery. The project investigates whether thyroid hormone metabolism affects survival following breast cancer. Serum samples and tumour tissue will be analysed and studied in relation to prognosis. Training emphasises study design and statistical analysis. Research is performed in close cooperation with Region Skåne and is carried out at the facilities of Lund University and at Skåne University Hospital, Malmö. The position is a fixed-term employment for a total of four years, 100%, with a start date of 2026-02-01 or as agreed. Work is expected to be performed on site in Malmö, Skåne län, Sweden.
