Regenerative Neurobiology research group at the Department of Experimental Medical Research, Faculty of Medicine, Lund University is recruiting a PhD student to develop and improve patient-derived cell strategies in preclinical transplantation models and assess their suitability for autologous cell replacement therapy in Parkinson’s disease./nThe project will investigate functional performance, pathological vulnerability, and therapeutic robustness of dopaminergic neurons generated from patient-derived iPSCs in preclinical transplantation models and evaluate strategies to protect transplanted cells from developing pathological protein aggregates./nThe position is a fixed-term, full-time (100%) doctoral studentship for a total of four years with a start date of 01-03-2026 or as agreed. Worksite is Lund, Sweden. The project is part of a broader research program (ERC Synergy grant).
