Applicants must have completed at least 240 credits, including at least 60 credits at Master's level (or equivalent). In most cases, applicants hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in the same subject with a Master's thesis presenting independent research. Candidates must have a very good command of English; proof (TOEFL/IELTS) may be requested by the department.

No tuition or application fees for PhD students; regular doctoral positions are salaried employment at the University.
