PhD in Structural Biology

Lund University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences (Structural Infectious Medicine, STRIME) is recruiting a doctoral student within the EU MCSA DN project StraDiVarious to study how Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus bind to human proteins and modify their functions. The project focuses on emerging bacterial threats (ESKAPE pathogens) and aims to develop next-generation strain-specific rapid diagnostics and identify potential drug and vaccine targets./nThe position involves molecular biology, bioinformatics, quantitative and structural proteomics, and structural biology (cryo-electron microscopy). The doctoral student will collaborate within the StraDiVarious consortium, participate in national and international meetings and conferences, and is expected to summarize scientific manuscripts and compile review articles.
