PhD project to develop computer vision and Artificial Intelligence algorithms to predict rate of hair loss or recovery in people with alopecia. Objectives include automating hair segmentation and hair line prediction, designing a classification algorithm to quantify hair loss severity, developing a mobile phone app as a point of care, evaluating AI assessments using multimodal imaging and vision language models, and validating AI performance in clinical settings. Training facilities at Manchester Metropolitan University and The Dermatology Centre, University of Manchester, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. Location: Manchester, United Kingdom.
