A fully-funded 4-year PhD fellowship (2026-2030) is available to carry out cutting-edge lab-based research on molecular mechanisms in monogenic speech disorders, at the Language and Genetics department of the Max Planck Institute, Nijmegen, in collaboration with the Molecular Neurogenetics Group of Radboudumc and the Donders Institute. The PhD project will use human cell-culture models of brain development to investigate how rare DNA variants cause severe speech disorders.
