PhD in Electrical Power Engineering

PhD position at the Department of Electric Energy (IEL) at NTNU in Trondheim, Norway, as part of the FME RenewHydro research center. The position focuses on design principles and modeling techniques for incorporating energy security aspects in scheduling models suited for analyzing the hydro-dominated Nordic power system. The research involves mathematical programming, modeling of the hydropower system, and stochastic optimization methods. The candidate will be affiliated with the Electricity Markets and Energy System Planning (EMESP) research group and will collaborate with researchers at SINTEF Energi and other partners. The appointment is for 3 years and the candidate will participate in the RenewHydro project "Provision of energy security and adequacy from hydropower". /nLocation: Trondheim, Norway.
