PhD position at the Department of Electric Energy (IEL), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway./nThe project is part of the FME NorthWind centre and focuses on developing and utilising multi-market models that incorporate electricity spot markets and markets for system services to analyse future requirements and costs of system services in low-carbon energy futures, and how reserve requirements and balancing activation principles impact electricity prices, power flows, needs for flexibility, and generator profitability./nThe position is full-time (100%) for 3 years and includes supervision by Professor Magnus Korpås with co-supervisors Arild Helseth (IEL, NTNU) and Matti Koivisto (Technical University of Denmark).
