Overview

Would you like to work at the interface between research and industry to advance the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the maritime domain? We are offering a PhD position in Agentic AI for Smart Testing of Autonomous Maritime Systems at the Department of Marine Technology, as part of the Norwegian Maritime AI Center (MAI) at NTNU./nAs a PhD candidate, you will conduct research to develop AI-driven methods for efficient methods for simulation-based testing and continuous assurance (continuously monitoring and testing frequently updated systems) of primarily autonomous navigation systems (ANS) and secondary external situation awareness (ESA). This will contribute to a multidisciplinary research environment with strong industrial collaboration. You will work to achieve your doctorate to gain formal qualifications as researcher in engineering science. This opens up for high-impact career paths in research and higher education, within academia, research institutes, or industry./nLocation: Trondheim, Norway
