Overview

PhD Candidate in Digital Twins for food safety at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, NTNU, Trondheim, Norway./nThis is a 3-year position linked to the D-CRISP project. The candidate will research, develop and demonstrate a methodology for building and integrating digital twins along industrial food production value chains to support local resilience and increase overall sustainability of the food supply chain. The role includes research visits and potential dual degree opportunities with project partners in Norway, Finland, Estonia and Lithuania./nResearch themes include digital twins and IoT across food production, human digital twins and Industry 4.0/5.0, systems engineering and socio-technical systems, AI-supported adaptive continuous learning, industrial cybersecurity and supply chain security, and semantic modelling, knowledge representation and automated reasoning.
