- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but for fall term funding consideration, apply by January 15. All materials, including transcripts and letters of reference, must be submitted online.
- A four-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Three letters of recommendation from academic or professional contacts. A statement of academic and career goals, specifying your intended research area. GRE scores are not required.
- You can specialize in interdisciplinary tracks such as ecology, biogeochemistry, social science, quantitative analysis, water resources, and environmental education. Each student develops depth in a chosen area in consultation with their advisor.
- The core consists of two main courses: Environmental Perspectives and Methods (ENSC 515, 3 credits, Fall) Environmental Analysis (ENSC 520, 3 credits, Winter).
- You must complete a minimum of 108 graduate credits, distributed as follows: Environmental Sciences Core Courses: 6 credits Methods and Numerical Skills: 9 credits minimum Area of Concentration: 30 credits minimum Elective Courses: up to 26 credits Thesis: 36 credits.
