- Mandatory courses include Health Sciences I (Health and Illness), Health Sciences II (Philosophy of Science, Research Ethics and Research Methodology). There are also elective courses, some focused on methodology (qualitative, quantitative), theory development, intervention design, measurement, user involvement, systematic reviews, etc.
- Research can be multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary, anchored in behavioural analysis and health sciences. Topics include health promotion, preventive health care, treatment, rehabilitation, care, and interaction between individual, interpersonal and societal factors. There’s methodological and theoretical diversity in research.
- To be admitted, you must have a five-year master’s degree or equivalent (equivalent to a master’s + bachelor’s per Norwegian requirements). The master’s thesis must have achieved a grade of B or better, and the average grade in your master’s degree must correspond to B or better. In special cases, candidates with a lower grade may be considered if they have strong research experience or published work.
- It has two main parts: a training component (30 ECTS credits) and a research component (150 ECTS credits). The training component includes obligatory courses plus electives, and research work is focused on producing a scientific dissertation.
- The program is a full-time three-year degree, equivalent to 180 ECTS credits.
