- Students register initially for MPhil and transfer to PhD following a successful progression review. Final assessment is based on submission of an original thesis (up to 100,000 words) and a viva voce examination.
- Students have access to Queen Mary’s Library, digital archives, the Mile End Institute, research training via the Doctoral College, departmental seminars, and opportunities to present research at conferences.
- Funding may be available through Queen Mary Principal’s Postgraduate Research Studentships, Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funding via the London Arts & Humanities Partnership (LAHP), and external scholarships.
