PhD in Aerospace Engineering

This exciting PhD project focuses on the development of highly accurate computational fluid dynamics solvers to model challenging problems including multiple materials or species, shock waves and vortical structures (turbulence)./nIt focuses on Direct Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) methods for multimaterial compressible flow problems and will be conducted in close collaboration with an outstanding industry partner./nIt offers student tuition fees, a full standard scholarship plus £5k/year top up and a training and conference budget./nPlease note that this role is only available for UK nationals./nLocation: Queen's University Belfast, Belfast - Northern Ireland.
