The 6G era envisions a seamless compute continuum, where applications dynamically leverage resources across devices, edge nodes, and cloud platforms. This paradigm shift is essential for supporting latency-critical and compute-intensive services such as extended reality (XR), autonomous systems, and digital twins./nHowever, current systems treat computation and communication as separate layers, leading to inefficiencies in latency, energy consumption, and resource utilization. The challenge lies in jointly optimising these two domains under highly dynamic conditions (e.g. varying channel states, heterogeneous hardware, and fluctuating workloads)./nThis project aims to bridge this gap by leveraging AI/ML techniques to enable real-time, adaptive orchestration of compute and network resources, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency across the entire continuum.
