Overview
We are recruiting a PhD candidate to work on various mouse genetics projects. Your first project will involve investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying the cell type specificity of Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease caused by mutations in tRNA synthetases. /nThe position is within the Storkebaum lab, Faculty of Science, Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands. /nTechniques mentioned include viral gene transfer, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, next-generation sequencing, proteomics, immunohistochemistry, fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), confocal imaging and in vivo noncanonical amino acid tagging (NCAT). /nYou will collaborate with a senior postdoctoral researcher, have 10% teaching exposure, and may supervise Bachelor and Master’s students.
