You have a Master’s degree in experimental physics or a related subject area.
You have a strong interest in fundamental condensed matter physics and curiosity‐driven research as well as the development of experimental instrumentation.
You preferably have experience with optical and far‐infrared spectroscopy, magnetism and magneto-optics, and/or low‐temperature techniques.
You have a good command of written and spoken English.

This PhD position in condensed matter physics is hosted by Radboud University (Faculty of Science) at the HFML-FELIX Laboratory in Nijmegen, Netherlands./nThe projects focus on ultrafast dynamics of magnetic switching, including: Ultrafast dynamics of phonon‐driven magnetic switching and Exploring antiferromagnetic quantum materials in and out of equilibrium./nYou will work in a cutting-edge experimental facility using high magnetic fields and intense infrared/THz radiation, collaborate with other PhD candidates, postdocs and HFML-FELIX staff, and participate in external user collaborations. Teaching load may be up to 10% of working time.
