The Department of Ecology, Environment and Plant Sciences (DEEP) at Stockholm University is offering a PhD project focused on the ecology and evolution of plant diseases and organisms that feed on them (hyperparasites: insects and fungi)./nThe project aims to: (1) create interaction networks between plants, plant diseases and hyperparasites and explore drivers of variation in network structure, (2) use cross-infection experiments to reveal the role of hyperparasites in regulating wild plant diseases, and (3) use a reciprocal inoculation experiment to study eco-evolutionary dynamics between Arabica coffee, coffee leaf rust and its hyperparasites./nField work will be conducted in the Afromontane mountains in southwestern Ethiopia (where Arabica coffee grows wild)./nLocation: Stockholm University, Arrhenius Laboratories, University Campus at Frescati, Stockholm, Sweden./nEmployment: fixed-term doctoral student position, full-time (100 %).
