PhD in Infection Biology

Department of Molecular Biosciences, The Wenner-Gren Institute (MBW) experimentally addresses fundamental problems in molecular cell biology, integrative biology, and infection and immunobiology./nThis graduate student position is available in the laboratory headed by professor Antonio Barragan./nUnder the subject of Infection Biology, this project integrates the scientific areas of molecular parasitology with immunology and cell biology to understand how obligate intracellular parasites interact with host cells and cross biological barriers./nThe project will focus on the interactions of Toxoplasma with biological barriers models in vivo, ex vivo and in vitro and aims to understand how parasites cause severe infections in the brain and other vital organs./nLocation: Stockholm, Sweden.
