The DTU National Food Institute, at the Technical University of Denmark, is seeking a highly motivated applicant for a PhD scholarship focused on biofortification and bioavailability of vitamin D. /nYou will join the Research Group for Bioactives - Analysis and Applications. /nPrimary objective: investigate vitamin D with a focus on its bioaccessibility, strategies for biofortification including gene‑editing techniques and UVB exposure, and the integration of these findings into future dietary intake estimates. /nWork will involve use and optimization of advanced analytical tandem mass spectrometry methods, assessment of vitamin D bioaccessibility using an in vitro model, and exploration of biofortification strategies. /nPart of the PhD-study will take place as external stay at John Innes Centre, Norwich, UK for four months and at Wageningen University & Research, The Netherlands for two months. /nThe selected candidate will be employed full-time by DTU National Food Institute within the MSCA-DN MICROSUNSET, and the period of employment is 3 years. /nStart date is 1 August 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. /nLocation referenced in the listing: Kgs.
