The reason for studying at Alliance Manchester Business School  (Alliance MBS) is simple – we produce graduates who think differently. We provide you with the knowledge and ability to excel in today’s business environment. As part of The University of Manchester, Alliance MBS is one of the largest campus-based business and management schools in the UK and is ranked top 5 in the UK, 12th in Europe and 43rd in the world (FT Global Rankings 2022).

Alongside our main campus in the thriving student city of Manchester, we have international centers in Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore, and an alumni community of 60,000 graduates based in 176 countries – giving us a truly global reach and outlook.

Alliance Manchester Business School is a research-led school within a research-led university. Given our scale and breadth we aim to tackle big, contemporary problems that require long-term research commitment, while encouraging teamwork across multiple academic disciplines. Research strengths include:

  • Accounting and Finance
  • Globalisation
  • Health
  • Innovation
  • Work and Management

On the Manchester Full-time MBA we ensure you get a thorough grounding in business theory, and give you the opportunity to put it into practice from day one with international projects, live consultancy work and internships with high profile, multinational corporations.

Our unique, hands-on approach to learning gives you more client-facing hours than almost any other MBA programme - nearly six months’ worth - so you can test theories immediately in real world situations and won’t feel completely removed from the commercial environment.

Take your international experience up a level: As well as the International Exchange Programme, benefit from an additional study abroad opportunity by choosing to take an elective offered on our Global (Part-time) MBA Programme. You could find yourself studying alongside professionals on our Part-time MBA in one of our global centres.

All Alliance MBS students benefit from access to a leading careers service, global alumni network, and strong connections with employers. We are the number one most targeted UK university by leading graduate employers (The High Fliers Report 2018).
