Structural analysis of extracellular matrix protease-substrate complexes using cryo-electron microscopy at The University of Manchester. This project is part of the REMOD-HEALING Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action Doctoral Network aimed at advancing scientific knowledge in wound healing and regenerative medicine. It involves determining the structure of extracellular proteases and their interaction with matrix substrates like collagen VI and fibrin, utilizing cryo-electron microscopy to analyze protease-substrate complexes. The project will provide extensive training in molecular and structural biology methods.
