PhD in Gender Studies

PhD position at the Department of Computer Science, Umeå University, joint with the Umeå Centre for Gender Studies. The project focuses on the development of AI methods for enabling the detection and editing of gender biases across cultural contexts (e.g., languages, gendered expectations, imageries). The position provides the opportunity to pursue PhD studies in Computing Science for four years, mainly devoted to PhD studies (at least 80% of the time) and may include up to 20% department service (usually teaching).
