PhD in Cell Biology

PhD project at Université Grenoble Alpes (Grenoble, France) hosted at the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Physics (LIPhy)./nInvestigate physical mechanisms of bacterial aggregation and biofilm initiation for surface-motile bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa) using theoretical modeling and numerical simulations, combined with existing experimental data. The project will test whether Motility Induced Phase Separation (MIPS) drives microcolony initiation or if biological adhesion-induced phenotypic switches are decisive. Supervision by K. John and E. Bertin, co-supervision by A. Chauvière; integration into the PhD@Tec21 Programme and the German-French doctoral school “Living Fluids”.
