- PhD students are supported by their doctoral school through personalized training, monitoring committees, and a doctoral charter that defines roles, ethical expectations, supervision, and conflict resolution mechanisms.
- PhD candidates must have secured funding covering at least three years. Funding sources may include doctoral contracts (publicly funded), industrial contracts (e.g. CIFRE), regional funding, or other grants. Admission is generally conditional on having this funding in place.
- Evaluation considers your academic background and rankings, research experience (e.g., internships), quality of your internship reports, letters of recommendation, originality and clarity of the proposed research, quality of presentation, and how well you respond to jury questions.
- You must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent, including engineering degrees or validation of prior experience) in Chemistry. You also need an approved thesis supervisor and a defined research project.
- The PhD is typically a full-time research program lasting three years. Extensions may be granted in special cases. There are also part-time and validation-of-experience pathways available, each with its own duration framework.
