The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology at UAH is designed to develop scientific thinking about the discipline of Psychology, focusing on both the counseling dimension of the field and its research-oriented aspects. The program introduces students to various disciplines within psychology through a two-course sequence (PY 101 and 102). Students are encouraged to select courses in consultation with a faculty advisor, covering both social and natural science aspects of psychology. The program offers two tracks: Psychological Sciences Track (with a capstone in supervised research) and Psychological Services Track (designed for human services and master's degrees in counseling, social work, or Doctor of Psychology, with an internship capstone).
