PhD in Control

PhD Project: Aligning corporate purpose and strategy execution in established firms/nThis research project studies how firms implement and measure purpose-driven renewal and the consequences for competitiveness, longevity, and stakeholder wellbeing. The position is a collaboration between the Amsterdam Business School (University of Amsterdam) and the ZHAW School of Management and Law (Switzerland), involving research with a consortium of Swiss firms (Clariant, Johnson & Johnson, Bank Cler, Deloitte). The PhD student will be appointed by the Amsterdam Business School and will conduct research partly in Amsterdam and with regular presence in Switzerland. The appointment is full-time for 4 years, preferably starting from 01.09.2025, with a substantial part of research (40%) conducted at ZHAW.
