PhD in High-Energy Physics

Nikhef is the national institute for subatomic physics in the Netherlands. Your research is part of the ATLAS Research Group embedded in the Nikhef ATLAS group, and candidates will be employed by the University of Amsterdam and based at Nikhef in Amsterdam./nThe positions focus on Higgs boson and top quark interactions, using SM Effective Field Theory (SM-EFT) and modern data-analysis techniques (deep learning, Transformer networks). The projects are funded by the NWO-M2-project “When Higgs bosons meet Top quarks” and are part of the ATLAS group activities including detector construction (ITk, HGTD, FELIX) and physics analysis (Higgs boson physics, top quark physics, searches for new physics).
