PhD in Mathematics

We are looking for two PhD candidates in the field of computational social choice to join the COMSOC Group at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC)./nThese positions are part of the ADDI project on Advancing Digital Democratic Innovation, an ERC Synergy Project funded by the European Union, with partners in Toulouse, Turku, and Amsterdam./nLocation: University of Amsterdam, Faculty of Science, Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC)./nAppointment: temporary contract for 38 hours per week for the duration of 4 years (initial contract 18 months, after satisfactory evaluation extended to a total of 4 years)./nPreferred starting date: 1 September 2026./nGross monthly salary ranges between € 3,059 to € 3,881 (scale P); does not include 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% year-end allowance.
