PhD in Psychological Methods

Research project entitled “How smart is AI really? Methods for investigating intelligence in humans and AI”./nFunded by a NWO Vidi grant awarded to Claire Stevenson. Project starts April 1st 2025./nThe PhD project has three objectives:/n(1) Build an app containing children’s games that assesses fluid intelligence accessible to both humans and AI./n(2) Develop psychometric methods to reliably and validly compare children’s and AI-models’ developing fluid intelligence./n(3) Evaluate whether leading theories of human developing intelligence, or a new alternative theory, can account for emergent AI cognitive capabilities./nLocation: Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
