PhD in Social Or Cultural Psychology

“Become a PhD student in the Gender-InSIGHT consortium”. /n‘Gender-InSIGHT’ is an international network for the Investigation of biopsychoSocial Influences on Gender during (diverse) Hormonal Transitions. /nThis PhD project (“Cross-cultural gender beliefs and support for gender-affirming care” – DC 14) will aim to: conceptualize and document how people in different countries think about the nature of gender; and examine how these cultural lay theories of gender shape the general public’s support for TGD individuals and different forms of gender-affirming care. /nLocation: University of Amsterdam, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Amsterdam, Netherlands. /nStart date: June 1st, 2026. /nEmployment: temporary full-time position of 38 hours a week for a term of 4 years; initial employment for one year, with extension by a maximum of 36 months following positive assessment.
