PhD in Related Fields

You will work actively on the preparation and defence of a PhD thesis focusing on the analysis of extreme events using deep learning methods. Your responsibilities will include developing deep learning-based methods for modeling extreme events such as floods, droughts, and compound extreme events and exploring their drivers. You will publish scientific articles related to the research project and present results at international conferences and meetings. You will carry out a limited number of teaching and research support tasks for a maximum of 2 hours per week. You will contribute to the Horizon Europe project SCEWERO and other relevant projects. You will supervise bachelor and master students.
