PhD in Political Sociology

The Department of Social Sciences of the University of Basel invites applications for a PhD position in Political Science (with Prof. Denise Traber) for a duration of four years. This position is for an initial period of one years, renewable for another three years after positive evaluation. The starting date of the position is March 1, 2026. The position is located in Basel, Switzerland. Responsibilities include: developing and conducting a PhD project in the fields of Political Sociology, Political Economy, Political Behavior or related areas; teaching (1 course per semester, in German); and contributing to the activities at the Political Science department.
