Overview

As of 1 April 2026 (or by agreement), the Department of Sport Sociology & Sport Management at the Institute of Sport Science (ISPW) at the University of Bern is seeking a PhD student to implement a third-party funded project on “Digital Technology Acceptance, Resistance and Continuance in Sport Consumption (DiTARSC)”. The project and PhD supervision will be led by Dr. Pascal Stegmann and Prof. Dr. Siegfried Nagel. The PhD will focus on the extent to which sports consumers adopt technologies and resist adopting them. Location: Bern, Switzerland. The position is limited to 3 years (with the possibility of a 1-year extension). Remuneration per SNSF guidelines.
