PhD in Environmental Science

This PhD project will address critical knowledge gaps by identifying volcanoes likely to produce highly explosive eruptions. The student will combine global datasets with field investigations and employ statistical and machine learning methods. Fieldwork will take place in Southeast Asia, collaborating with Indonesian partners to refine predictions. The project will contribute to global disaster risk reduction efforts and foster community engagement.
