English language requirements apply for non-native speakers (usually IELTS 7.0 overall, with no less than 6.5 in any band)
- Yes, the PhD can be studied by distance learning. Distance learning students are required to attend a one-week residential course at the university in their first year. All students are welcome to attend university events and conferences throughout their programme
- The PhD usually takes three years full-time or six years part-time to complete. The thesis is typically 80,000 words and must make an original contribution to knowledge
