PhD in Paleontology

Fossil tracks provide complementary information to body fossil records. The student will conduct a comprehensive review of UK fossil vertebrate track sites, understanding their distribution and determining their scientific value. Fieldwork will involve in-situ case studies to develop approaches for recording and conserving tracks. The funding is supported by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC).
