- Studentships are available for excellent home/EU students. Many research students can also work up to 120 hours per year as paid teaching assistants. For more information, applicants should contact the School’s Postgraduate Admissions Team.
- International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency, typically with an IELTS score of 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any band).
- The PhD in Psychology is available full-time (36 months) or part-time (72 months). The program is campus-based and includes research opportunities supported by collaborations with hospitals, schools, industry, and government departments.
- Applicants proposing their own research topic must submit a clear and concise research proposal outlining their main research questions, methods, and the potential impact of their research. The proposal should also demonstrate alignment with the department’s research interests.
- Applicants need at least an upper second-class Honours degree (2:1) in Psychology or a related discipline, or a relevant Master’s qualification. Equivalent international qualifications are accepted. For MSc by Research, a lower second-class Honours degree (2:2) is required.
